[About Tracker] S2F succeeded in the flight in 1952. A duty is an antisubmarine patrol aircraft. In the Maritime Self Defense Force, 60 sets of S2 F-1 were supplied by the U.S. Forces from '57 years to '59 years. It retired one by one with Lockheed P2V-7 introduction in '70 s. S2F of the last finished the duty as an antisubmarine patrol aircraft in '84. However, four sets were converted into S2 F-U aiming at bombardment-from-a-warship training, and no less than two sets were converted into S2 F-C of a transport among those. It was both used till the beginning of the 80s.
